Warm Trigger Sequences

The trigger is the opener, and how warm they are decides the ask.

THE SHORT VERSION

Warm audiences get burned by cold copy. The message has to acknowledge the actual relationship, and there are eight different relationships, not one.

YOU GIVE ITA warm pool and which trigger produced it.
YOU GET BACKA ready sequence for that trigger, on email, LinkedIn or both.

Eight relationships, eight openings

Someone who evaluated you and chose a competitor. A champion who used your product and has moved to a new company. A person who spent nine minutes on your pricing page. A registrant who never showed up. Someone who liked a post. Someone who liked a competitor's post. A company that is hiring for the problem. An author writing about it.

Each of those has a different honest first line, and the honest first line is the entire advantage of warm outreach. A generic opener throws that away and leaves you with a cold email sent to someone who expected better.

Warmth caps the ask

The strongest temptation with a warm pool is to go straight for the meeting, because these people know you. For the top band that is correct. For the bottom band, someone who read one post, a direct meeting request reads as a wild overreach from the single interaction it is based on, and it converts worse than a softer ask would.

The band comes from the pool rather than from the copy, so this is settled before writing starts.

It still passes the copy floor

Warm does not mean exempt. The same quality checks that apply to cold sequences apply here: claims traceable to real proof, no repetition across touches, and a score before it goes out.
